Virgin Valley Heritage Museum in Mesquite, NV boats a number of wonderful and interesting displays detailing the life and times of local area. This historic structure speaks about the local history of Mesquite, NV.

This momentous building was transformed many a times to serve for different purposes in its nearly 70 year history. Primarily this facility was opened as a library in the year 1940, but just after five years it was again converted into a branch of Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital.

Before becoming the museum’s home, the building also served as the Boy Scouts of America. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of just two known Nevada examples of Pueblo, revival-style buildings.

Today, this building is known as the Virgin Valley Heritage Museum which is dedicated to preserving the region’s rich cultural heritage and sharing the stories of the American Indians and settling pioneers.

The City of Mesquite's Virgin Valley Heritage Museum has various historical items such as the first Slot Machine brought into the Valley, Photographs, Quilts, Wedding Dresses, a 1949 Television, Early Telephones, a Whiskey Still and much more.

The museum has a collection of artifacts pertaining to the history of the Virgin Valley and Mesquite with a date range of 1875-1934.
